Nick Kaiser won his third state track title with a win in the 800 meters. His winning time was 1:52.91. After taking the first 400 meters out around 52 seconds, he continued to hammer the next 200 meters as he attempted to break the state meet record. The blistering first 600 meters and heat caught up with Nick over the last 150 meters! There was a long, nerve racking last 100 meters as the field started to close on Nick. Nick crossed the line first to win the championship! This was his second state title in the 800 meter run, he also won as a sophomore 2 years ago. Last year as a junior, he was a member of the winning 3200 relay team and was third in the 800. Next up for Nick is the Midwest Meet of Champions, the New Balance Nationals, and the University of Tennessee. Good luck to Nick.

Dan Thompson ended his brief but amazing running career for Bedford competing in the 3200 meter run. Dan finished 28th out of the 36 runners with a time of 10:16.66. Dan was disappointed with his performance but continued to show his potential throughout the spring. In his 3 seasons running for the Mules ( two track and one CC) he was All State twice, once as a member of last years 3200 relay state champions and this past fall in CC. He then qualified for the state finals in the 3200 run this year as a new event. Congratulations to Dan! He is planning on continuing his running career next year at the University of Toledo.
