The 3rd SEC Jamboree took place on Thursday afternoon, October 18. The weather turned out to be very nice. The skies were partly sunny, the air was warm (72 degrees) and humid, the winds were quite blustery at times. Separate varsity races for the Red and White divisions were held. A single JV race for both divisions was contested. The Kickin' Mules once again found themselves in a very competitive race with three top ten Division 1 teams (see most recent Michigan rankings). Saline won the team championship with 36 points, 4 less than the second place AA Pioneer team. AA Huron was third and Bedford finished fourth. The final conference standings had these schools in these same four positions. Blake Johnson from Saline is the new conference individual champion. He was never challenged for the top spot after the first mile. Tommy Valade made First Team All SEC with a seventh place finish. Several JV runners had PRs today on a difficult course.
