6/5/2008 - Several 2008 team members broke into the Bedford Track and Field Legends top 10 list during this season led by Nick Hullibarger breaking the 25 year old high jump record.

HJ  #1 All time: Nick Hullibarger 6' 7"

SP  #10 All time: Joe Copciac 48' 7"

Discus #4 All time: Brad Kaiser 148' 4"

Discus #6 All time: Joe Copciac 137' 10"

400m #6 All time: Nick Kaiser 51.8

300m IH #6 All time: Josh Stump 41.7

800m #3 All time: Nick Kaiser 1:56.7

3200m #8 All time: Tommy Valade 9:41.1

6/4/2008 - The end of season  picnic was held Monday June 2nd at White Park. Winners of the major awards are as follows.

MVP - Nick Kaiser (9th grade)

Outstanding sprint event athlete - Josh Stump (9th grade)

Outstanding field event athlete - Nick Hullibarger (12th grade)

Outstanding distance athlete - Tommy Valade (10th grade)

Rookie of the year - Erik Jones (9th grade)

Most improved - Doug Harmon (11th grade)

Coach's award - Joe Copciac (12th grade)

Booster's award - Nick Hullibarger

SEC Sportsman award - Nick Hullibarger

6/4/2008 See results of the MHSAA State Final Meet.

5/17/2008 - Next up is the SEC League Championship on Wednesday May 23 at Lincoln HS. Top three individuals in each event are "All SEC".

5/16/2008 - The MHSAA Regional was held today at Saline HS. Bedford finished 8th out of 14 teams. Congratulations to the four Bedford athletes that qualified for the MHSAA Final Meet.

5/11/2008 - Bedford competed at the Mason Invitational yesterday. Nick Hullibarger broke the school and meet records in winning the high jump with a leap of 6' 7". This won him the Most Valuable Field Event Award. David Mynderse had a huge a PR in winning  the pole vault at 12' 9". Freshman Nick Kaiser continues to impress with a win in the 800m run.  Senior Joe Copciac won the shot put with a throw of 48' 2". Congratulations to these "County Champions".

5/3/2008 - Bedford competed in the Knight Relays last evening. Click on the link for results. This week brings Michigan #1 AA Pioneer to Bedford for our only home meet of the year. Come on out to root on the Mules, witness some of the best track and field athletes around, and help out at the meet. Next Saturday is the Mason Invitational which brings in all the Monroe County schools to one meet. No division classifications in this meet.

5/1/2008 - Updates from Coach Masters. 1) Parent volunteers are needed for the home meet with AA Pioneer on Tuesday May 6. Please contact Coach Masters at bob.masters@bedford.k12.mi.us and let him know where you can help. 2) The SEC Championship at Lincoln is on Wednesday May 21st. 3) An SEC JV Championship is set for May 22nd, site to be announced.

4/27/2008 - E-mail your personal bests and a digital photo so they can be added to the "Team Roster" page. Click on the link for Valade on the team roster page for an example.

4/22/2008 - The Mules lost to AA Huron. Full results are still pending. Freshmen Josh Stump (300 hurdles) and Nick Kaiser (400 m) had performances that rank in the top 10 all time for those events. Still waiting on those official times. Double winners for the day include Joe Copciac (shot put and discus), Nick Kaiser (4x800m relay and 400 m), and Tommy Valade (4x800 relay and 3200 m).

4/19/2008 - The 76th running of the Mansfield Mehock Relays concluded today. See full results by clicking on the link provided. Scoring for Bedford were the 5th place 4x1600 relay team (Tommy Valade, Nick Kaiser, Andrew Althaus, and Chad Machinski) and Nick Hullibarger who finished tied for 5th place in the high jump. Next up is a dual meet at Ann Arbor Huron on Tuesday.

4/9/2008 - The varsity team opens the season in 3 days at the Whitmer Golden "W" Relays.
